1 tablespoon dried parsley
2 teaspoons dried dill
1 teaspoon dried chives
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions for making your own THC-infused butter
Step 1: Grind Your Cannabis Flower
First, grind 7 grams of Bondi Super Boof flower. The finer you grind your flower, the more THC will be activated (making for more potent butter).
Step 2: Prepare Your Flower for Activating
Pre-heat your oven to 220 degrees. Put a sheet of aluminum foil on a baking sheet, and spread your ground cannabis flower onto the sheet.
Step 3: Activating Your Flower’s THC (Decarboxylation)
Once preheated, place your ground cannabis flower sheet into the oven. Bake for 50 minutes and then remove from the oven and let it cool.
The activated cannabis flower will have lost some of its green color and turned crispy.
Note: Be sure to turn on your ventilation fan and open your kitchen windows if possible. Baking cannabis can be very aromatic, so plan accordingly.
Step 4: Infusion
Combine 1 cup butter and 1 cup water in a pot and bring to a simmer over low heat or until the butter melts. Combine your activated cannabis flower with the butter and water and stir. Let it steep at a low temperature (180 degrees) for 3 hours. Stir often to prevent burning.
Step 5: Straining
After steeping, allow the thc-infused butter mixture to cool for one hour to prevent injury while straining.
Prepare a bowl, a strainer, and a cheesecloth for straining.
Once the mixture is cool to the touch, begin pouring the thc-infused butter mixture through the cheesecloth and strainer. This removes as much plant material as possible from your butter.
Step 6: Cooling
After you’ve removed as much plant material as possible, pour your thc-infused butter into a sealable tupperware and place in the refrigerator overnight.
The THC-infused butter will separate and solidify on top of the water.
Remove the butter from the water and your butter is now ready for baking!
Instructions for making “Super Boof” Popocorn with THC-Infused Ranch Seasoning:
In a bowl, whisk the buttermilk, dried herbs, onion and garlic powder, salt, pepper, and sugar.
Heat a heavy-bottomed 6-quart (or larger) pot with a lid over medium high heat. Add the oil and one popcorn kernel. When you hear the kernel pop, take out the popcorn, then add the remaining kernels to the pot. Cook with the lid on, moving the pot over the flame to shake the kernels. When the kernel pops space out every ten seconds, remove from heat and pour into a large bowl.
Drizzle 2 Tbsp of melted THC-infused butter on the popcorn and sprinkle a third of the ranch seasoning. Toss the popcorn. Drizzle another 2 Tbsp of melted THC-infused butter and seasoning, evenly coating the popcorn, and toss again. Finish with the remaining 2 Tbsp of melted THC-infused butter and ranch seasoning.
And voila! You’ve just made a delicious and fun THC-infused popcorn from scratch, perfect for your next movie night.

FAQ Super Boof Popcorn
Why is popcorn a great vehicle for THC-infused butter?
Popcorn is genuinely one of the most practical cannabis edible formats for a few reasons. It's naturally low in moisture, which means melted cannabutter coats each kernel evenly and the THC has excellent contact with the fat-rich butter coating. The high surface area of popped popcorn also means the seasoning and butter distribute more consistently than in a dense baked good, giving you better dose control per handful. It's also easy to portion — you can drizzle specific amounts of cannabutter and keep track of your serving size more intuitively than with a cookie or brownie.
How do you make the THC-infused butter for this recipe?
The cannabutter process starts with decarboxylation: grind 7 grams of Bondi Super Boof flower, spread on a foil-lined baking sheet, and bake at 220°F for 50 minutes. This activates the THC. Then combine 1 cup of butter with 1 cup of water in a pot, bring to a low simmer, add the decarboxylated flower, and steep at 180°F for 3 hours, stirring frequently. After cooling for an hour, strain through cheesecloth to remove all plant material, then refrigerate overnight. The infused butter solidifies on top of the water — scoop it off and it's ready to use.
Why use Super Boof flower specifically for this recipe?
Super Boof's flavor profile is a genuinely inspired pairing for ranch-seasoned popcorn. Its Black Cherry Punch and Tropicana Cookies genetics produce a bright, citrus-forward, slightly fruity terpene character that cuts through the richness of butter and complements the herbal, savory notes of buttermilk ranch seasoning beautifully. The fruity-citrus-earthy complexity of Super Boof adds a layer of flavor interest to the cannabutter that a more neutral or fuel-forward strain wouldn't. It's a recipe where strain selection actually matters for the eating experience, not just the effect.
How do you dose THC-infused popcorn safely?
The cannabutter recipe makes more than one batch of popcorn — the 1 cup of infused butter is significantly more than the 6 tablespoons used in this popcorn recipe. This means your per-serving dose depends on the total THC content of your cannabutter divided by the number of servings. Start by estimating the THC in 7 grams of Super Boof flower (check the label), then divide by the number of tablespoons in your batch to estimate per-tablespoon potency. Drizzle conservatively, eat a modest serving, and wait a full 90 minutes to 2 hours before assessing effects — edibles always take longer to kick in than expected.
How do you make the homemade ranch seasoning?
Whisk together: 1/4 cup powdered buttermilk, 1 tablespoon dried parsley, 2 teaspoons dried dill, 1 teaspoon each of dried chives, onion powder, garlic powder, and kosher salt, 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper. The key to great ranch seasoning is building it in layers — the popcorn recipe calls for three rounds of butter and seasoning, drizzling and tossing each time, which ensures every kernel gets coated rather than having the seasoning sink to the bottom of the bowl.
How should you store leftover THC-infused popcorn?
THC-infused popcorn is best eaten fresh — the texture deteriorates as the cannabutter absorbs into the popcorn over time and the kernels lose their crunch. That said, any leftovers can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a day. More importantly, store any remaining cannabutter in a sealed airtight container in the refrigerator (up to two weeks) or freezer (up to six months), clearly labeled as containing THC and kept out of reach of children and pets. The butter is the most valuable component of this recipe and is worth preserving carefully for future batches.
