Rick Simpson Oil (RSO) is renowned throughout the cannabis world for its potency and its potentially therapeutic uses.

RSO is sticky, dark, and ultra-potent, containing a full spectrum of cannabinoids and other, natually occuring properties.

Which makes it perfect for cannabis users with high tolerances!

But who is the person behind this popular, full spectrum cannabis concentrate?

Who is Rick Simpson?

Rick Simpson is a Canadian engineer and medical marijuana activist.

While Rick was at work in 1997, he experienced a severe fall. As a result of the accident, he began to suffer from dizziness, headaches, and other related symptoms.

Although Rick’s doctor prescribed medication to alleviate his symptoms, he found that using cannabis helped lessen his symptoms most effectively.

Why did Rick Simpson create RSO?

In 2003, Rick’s doctor discovered basal cell skin cancer on his face. In response, Rick decided to do something few people had considered before: he created his very own cannabis concentrate and applied it directly to his skin in an effort to remedy his cancer.

According to Rick’s own account, he claimed that his cancer spots went away in a matter of days.

Excited by his creation and its success in treating his illness, Rick shared his oil with others. As a result, many people seeking relief from similar symptoms began to use RSO as well.

Since 2003, RSO has grown greatly in popularity and is now available for recreational and medical use in Washington state and other places where cannabis is legal.

Why is RSO so popular?

RSO is extracted using low-cost alcohol-based solvents. Through this simple, low-cost extraction a full spectrum of cannabinoid and terpene-richcompounds is extrated from cannabis plant matter.

The result? A potent, cost-effective concentrate that can be easily used topically or ingested alongside food as an edible.
