Puffin maintains a diverse library of cannabis strains…

all having been selected from seed based specifically on terpene profile and associated effects. Their library is full of THC rich cannabis cultivars in addition to some CBD rich varieties. No matter the strain, if it’s produced by Puffin you can guarantee you’ll be getting top tier quality.

How does Puffin Farm procure such high grade, terp-tastic, full spectrum cannabis?

A huge factor playing into how Puffin procures such high quality cannabis is the location in which it is grown.

Puffin utilizes a concept called terroir.

Think about wine...

Wine produced from the exact same genetic stock but produced on two different estates will lend to different characteristics of the end product.

This is very comparable to how the same cannabis strain grown in two different environments can display differing characteristics and properties.

Puffin views their Ellensburg specific terroir as stellar and absolutely ideal for producing cannabis with robust flavor and aroma, which is very important to them as a company. Aroma and flavor will come from terpenes which are typically found in quite impressive ratios in sun grown cannabis.

Puffin states:

  “We grow the highest quality with the most flavor. We’re not necessarily driven by the highest THC content or the biggest yield or the commercially easy strains. It’s more about the terpenes. ‘In Terpenes We Trust’ is our motto.”

So… Puffin is all about natural farming practices, sustainability and procuring truly exceptional products with intense flavor and nuanced effects… That’s awesome! What should I try?!

One of my absolute favorite products we carry- Puffin Farm’s EVFO (extra virgin flower oil). OH MY GOD. So, SO, so, SO tasty. I personally prefer it in their tankers/syringes, which is a newer product for us at Hashtag and the budtenders (and myself, hee hee) are ecstatic!!

Puffin’s EVFO is easily one of the best tasting CO2 cannabis oils on the market. The oil is perfect for dabbing or refilling cartridges. The oil is housed in a boro-silicate syringe, making it heat safe and dabbing a breeze. The syringe also allows for easy application to a joint, blunt, bowl, however you like to smoke, infuse away!

Although only partially activated (not all the THCa has converted to THC) you can also eat this oil! Expect a much more well-rounded, full spectrum effect when consuming in this capacity.

If you aren’t a fan of eating or dabbing your EVFO, no worries! Puffin also produces this product in vape cartridges, just make sure your vape battery has a push button. Puffin’s terpalicious oil is a bit more viscous than most vapes contain and might need a bit more power to vaporize efficiently. 

Even though Puffin’s EVFO is my favorite product of theirs, keep in mind that exceptional oil can only be produced from exceptional flower, so don’t forget to check out their flavorful and effective varieties in this category as well!

I personally recommend a 9lb hammer in either their EVFO or flower. 9lb Hammer is musky, dank, earthy with hints of sweet berries and lime. It clouds the mind and weighs down your limbs. Any stress melts away into oblivion.
